C. G. Starr Was Custodian of Simpson College Building
C. G. Starr, former Madison county farmer, died at his home in Indianola last Saturday, after a brief illness with pneumonia. He was 59 years of age.
Mr. Starr was born near Winterset and spent most of his life in the Ord neighborhood. About 10 years ago he moved to Indianola in order to educate his children at Simpson college. For the past six years he had been custodian of the administration building at the college.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by four children: Mrs. W. W. Wickman of Marshalltown, Helen Starr of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Garnett and John Starr at home.
Funeral services were held Monday at the M. E. church in Indianola, in charge of the Rev. Benjamin F. Schwartz, assisted by President Earl Harper of Simpson college.
