Death Of JOHN D. BLAIR

John D. Blair, Peru resident, died at his home Saturday morning, April 14th, at 8:30 o'clock , following a short illness. He was 72 years of age.

He came to this county with his parents, Alex and Amanda Scott Blair, when he was a year old. He spent his youth here, and then resided in Nebraska for twenty years.

After his return to Madison county, he was married August 4, 1887, to Rhoda Chodd. His wife and four brothers survive him; Bill of Winterset, Robert of Bevington, Oliver of Chewelah, Washington, and George of St. Charles and Mrs. Lucy Moore of Medora.

Rev. Add White conducted his funeral services at the Blair Chapel church Tuesday afternoon, April 17th, at two o'clock, and burial was made in the cemetery near the church.
