William H. Heater died at the Winterset hospital, on Wednesday morning, April 18th, 1934, from a stomach disorder, at the age of fifty-six years.
He was born in Nicholas county, West Virginia, April 13, 1878, the son of Uriah and Elizabeth Rapp Heater. The family came to Iowa in 1885 and made their home on a farm near Macksburg. The father died in 1903 and the widow and children moved to Winterset in 1908. Since then Mr. Heater has been a carpenter.
He leaves his aged mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Heater, a sister Mrs. Rebecca Hisky of Cedar Falls, and Miss Jennie Heater of Winterset. He also has four nieces and seven great nieces and nephews. His father, a brother and a sister preceded him in death.
The funeral services will be held at two o'clock Friday, at the Ramsey-Richards funeral home, with his pastor, the Rev W. C. Porter, having charge. Burial will be made at Macksburg.
