PATRICK BREEN Dies

Patrick Breen, life long resident of Madison county died at his home in Lee township, Thursday morning, April 12th, 1934, at the age of 44 years.

Mr. Breen had been in poor health and recently had a nervous breakdown. He was found Thursday morning, shortly after having taken strychnine, and physicians were summond, but he died soon afterwards.

The Rev. M. F. Dugan conducted his services at St. Patrick's church in Lee township, Saturday morning, at nine o'clock and burial was made in the cemetery, near the church.

Mr. Breen was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Breen, pioneer Lee township residents. He had always lived in this township with the exception of his absence while he served in the World war.

M. Breen died March 20, 1933 while his mother died in October 1931.

He leaves seven brothers and two sisters: Mike Breen of Winterset; Maurice of Omaha; Jim of Nogales, Arizona, John of Norwalk, Dan of Adair, Joe of Chicago, George at home, Frank of Des Moines, Mrs. Frank McDeVitt of Omaha and Miss Joan Breen of Chicago.

A number of Winterset residents drove down for the services Saturday morning.
