MARY ALEXANDER DUFF

Mary Duff was born June 16, 1877, on a farm south of Dexter, Iowa. She passed away April 18, 1970, at the Maple Lin Nursing Home at the age of 92 years, 10 months and 2 days. She had been a resident at the nursing home for three years.

She was a twin sister to Edith Irwin, who preceded her in death in 1963. May (Mary) had been a member of the Presbyterian church for 75 years. For 73 of those years she was a member of the Ladies Aid and UPW.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Newton V. Duff, and her son, Russell.

She leaves to mourn her passing, many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, April 21, at the Earlham Presbyterian church with the Rev. Donald Taylor in charge. Music was provided by Mrs. Pauline Fry at the organ.

The church floral committee cared for the flowers. Casket bearers were Albin Olson, Earl Schalkle, H. Claude Peer, Mervyn McLennan, Bob Branam and B. G. Harris.

Interment was in the Earlham cemetery. Funeral arrangements were made by Evans Service.
