Edward Mahan, a young farmer 26 years old living north of the city, died on New Years day of pneumonia, Mrs. Mahan and two children survive him. The funeral occurred Saturday at the residence, Rev. Jackson Giddens officiating. The burial was in the Winterset cemetery,

Death of E. E. MAHAN

A complication of diseases following infulenza caused the death of Edward Earl Mahan of Jefferson township on January 1, 1919.

His illness lasted three weeks, influenza giving away to jaundice and a stomach trouble. Mr. Mahan was but 26 years old and left a wife and two small children.

Rev. Jackson Giddens conducted services Saturday morning at the home with burial in Winterset cemetery.

The widow and her children have the sympathy of many friends and neighbors in their bereavement.
