J. B. MARTIN

J. B. Martin, formerly referred to by his friends as Johnny Boyd Martin, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Ed Pomeroy, near St. Charles on Monday.

He was born in Madison county, in the neighborhood where he died, sixty-two years ago and spent his life in South township. He never married and for many years lived alone on his South township farm, moving to Patterson last year where his health began to fail him.

He is survived by one brother, J. G. Martin, of Patterson, three sisters, Mrs. Ed Pomeroy and Mrs. Martha Scrivner, of this county, and one sister living in St. Joseph, Missouri.
