MRS. LAURA SQUIERS PASSED LAST WEEK

Funeral Services Held Last Friday from Tidrick's Mortuary Here

Mrs. Laura Squiers died at her home in Winterset on Wednesday of last week. She was 60 years of age.

Mr. and Mrs. Squiers lived for many years at Commerce, but their home had been in Winterset for some time.

Mrs. Squiers was the former Laura Porter, daughter of Albert and Angeline Porter, and was born near Colfax on July 9, 1878. She was married to William Squiers on Jan. 23, 1895. They were the parents of three children, Earl, Albert and Bessie. One of the sons, Albert, died in infancy.

She is survived by her husband; her son, Earl Squiers; her daughter, Mrs. Bessie Robertson; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Lettie Surber and Mrs. Oscar Calvert of Prairie City and Mrs. H. D. Hall of Cascade, Mont.; and two brothers, Carl Porter of Prairie City and William Porter of Newton.

Funeral services were held from the Tidrick funeral home in Winterset last Friday, in charge of the Rev. L. F. Davis. Burial was made at Commerce.
