Truro (Special) July 4th---.
Sadie Evelyn Seward passed away at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Dudney, June 2nd. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Beny (Berry), and was born Oct. 12, 1866 near Gear, post office, Madison county. She has lived her entire life in Madison county.
She was united in marriage to Jackson G. Seward, Thanksgiving day, 1885. To this union were born five children: Faye Kinkemon of Bossier City, La., Mae Franks of St. Charles, Bernice Dudney of Truro, Lysle of Winterset and Earl of Peru; also fifteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren survive her. Mr. Seward preceded her in death Jan. 11, 1911. Because of failing health she had made her home the past four years with her daughter, Mrs. Loyd Dudney of Truro.
Funeral services were held at the Kale funeral home Monday afternoon at two o'clock, conducted by Rev. Marguerite E. Shepard, assisted by Rev. Clayton P. Shepard. Interment was made in the Peru cemetery.
