Thursday, August 27, 1936Death Of CHARLES THEODORE PATTERSON
Charles Theodore Patterson, eighteen year old son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Patterson of Truro, died at his home, Thursday, August 20th, 1936, after a short illness. It is stated that an infected carbuncle caused his death.
The young man was born on a farm near Truro and all of his life was spent near that town, with the exception of a short time in Des Moines and Winterset, where he attended grade school. He was graduated from the Truro high school in May, 1936.
He attended the Methodist Sunday school and church, and his funeral services were conducted there Thursday, August 20th, by the Rev. Randall, and assisted by the Rev. Rector. Interment was made in the Fields cemetery.
He is survived by his parents, one brother, Jimmy, one grandmother and grandfather, one great grandmother, and a number of uncles and aunts.
