A. C. PATTERSON Of Truro Is Dead

Artie C. Patterson died at his home in Truro last Thursday after an illness of about a year. He was 61 years of age.

Mr. Patterson was a native of near Sullivan, Ill., where he was born May 28, 1883, the son of Baxter and Julia Patterson. When he was 13 years old he came with his parents to Clarke county, Iowa, where most of his life was spent.

On Oct. 1, 1902, he was married to Ellen Leota Lamb. They were the parents of eight children, one of whom, Floyd, died in infancy.

He is survived by his father, B. D. Patterson of Osceola; his wife; four sons, Harold Patterson of Greenfield, Pearl Patterson of Newton, Donald Patterson of Truro, and Carl Patterson of the U. S. Army; three daughters,Mrs. Bert McLaughlin of Omaha, Mrs. Denzil Bonney of Truro and Mrs. Roy Smith of Truro; seven brothers, Rex, Guy, Victor and Ernest Patterson, all of Canada, and John, Willis and Ed Patterson of Osceola; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from the Truro Methodist church and burial was made in the Fremont cemetery in Clarke county.
