Page 5, Column 4Murlie Irean Burger was born July 21, 1887 near St. Charles, Iowa. As a girl, she attended the public schools at that place. She was for several years, organist of the Christian church of which she was a member.
In 1902 she removed with her parents to Des Moines, where she was married in 1---to Merton Sanford Crowl. In 1906, Mr. and Mrs. Crowl took up their residence on a claim near Garrison, North Dakota and have resided there since. Last Sunday, about two p.m. surrounded by her friends and family, without a word or cry of warning, she was suddenly stricken and died in a few minutes.
She leaves to mourn her loss, a husband and four small children, her mother, Mrs. C. M. Burger of St. Charles, two sisters, Mrs. Bargie McLean of St. Paul, Mrs. Bernice Allen of Des Moines and one brother, Vernon Burger of Des Moines; also four half brothers and four half sisters.
The deceased was possessed of kind disposition was gentle and lovable, a model wife, a devoted mother. Her untimely and sudden death is a terrible blow to her loved ones and friends and casts gloom over the community where she was known.
The funeral service was conducted from the Christian church Thursday, Dec. 21st by Rev. Cunningham, pastor of the Methodist church and interment in the St. Charles cemetery.
