Pioneer of Nebraska, Mother of Eleven ChildrenDeath came to Mrs. Winnie Anna Trotter on December 13, 1954 in Broken Bow, Nebraska. She was 87 years of age.
She was born Winnie Anna Rollins on July 11, 1866 in Winterset (Iowa). Her parents were Angeline and Kalen Rollins.
She was married in Winterset to James Fuller Trotter on October 6, 1882, and this union were born eleven children. The Trotter family moved to Nebraska in 1886.
She is survived by six children, who are:
Frank Trotter of Berwyn, NE; Gary Trotter of Broken Bow, NE; Mrs. Mary Juker of Buhl, ID; Mrs Rose Webb of Nampa, ID; Mrs Della Scor of Broken Bow, NE; and Mrs. Bertha Gestwite of Berwyn, NE. Also surviving her are 27 grandchildren and 54 great-grandchildren.Funeral services for Mrs. Trotter were held at the Schneringer & Johnson Funeral Home in Broken Bow. Rev John W. Pirnie of the Church of God at Weissert and Berwyn earlier conducted the services. Mrs. Don Halbertsleben was the soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Ralph Thompson.
Pallbearers were: Emery Trotter, Clarence Gestwite, Herman Trotter, Ted Trotter, and Clyde Webb. Burial was made in the cemetery at Broken Bow, Nebraska.

Winnie Ann Trotter, daughter of Caleb and Angeline Rollings, was born July 11, 1866, at Winterset, Iowa, and departed this life Dec. 13 at Broken Bow at the age of 87 years.
She was married to James Fuller Trotter Oct. 28, 1882 at Winterset, and to this union were born 11 children.
She and her husband and two small children came to Nebraska from Iowa in 1886.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1924, five children, three of whom died in infancy, Josephine in 1922 and Norvel in 1943.
She has left to mourn her passing, six children, Frank Trotter of Berwyn, Mary Juker of Buhl, Ida., Rose Webb of Nampa, Ida., Gary Trotter of Broken Bow, Della Secor of Broken Bow and Bertha Gestwite of Berwyn, 27 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great grandchildren and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held at the Schneringer & Johnson funeral home. Rev. John Pirnie officiated.
The pallbearers were her grandson, Clyde Webb, Clarence Gestwite, Herman and Floyd Trotter, Emery and Orven Trotter.
She was laid to rest in the Broken Bow Cemetery.
