FORMER RESIDENT KILLED BY AUTO

Wilhelm Schmidt, a former resident of the Bevington and Blair Chapel neighborhoods in this county, was killed near Harrisonville, Mo., recently when struck by a motor car on the highway.

Mr. Schmidt was 60 years of age. A native of Germany, he came to this country with his parents as a child. The family settled in Iowa near Bevington, and in the spring of 1886 they moved to a farm one mile east of Blair Chapel, where he attended the McCloskey school. In 1902 they moved to Harrisonville, Mo.

He is survived by his wife and three children. He also leaves two brothers and four sisters, among them Mrs. C. E. Huglin of St. Charles. Mrs. Huglin and son George, attended the funeral services at Milo, Mo.
