Rev. E. M. Atwood Dies in Oklahoma

Rev. E. M. Atwood died at the home of his son at Waynoka, Oklahoma on Monday of this week. While no particulars have been received here it is thought that he will be buried at Waynoka.

Rev. Atwood left Winterset last spring, having failed in health, after four years of service as pastor of the Baptist church at this place. Although broken in health, he was an untiring worker in the cause to which he devoted his life and enjoyed the love and confidence of the public in general and of his own church people. After leaving Winterset, he resided for a time with his son near Spokane, Wash., and later went to Oklahoma to spend his last days with his son at that place. Besides his two sons, he is survived by one daughter, Miss Eunice.

Rev. J. H. Stewart of the Baptist church will conduct a memorial service for the former pastor of the church at the usual hour for services on next Sunday.
