Funeral Services Were Held Last Wednesday at Wesley Chapel
Mrs. Andrew Busch, a widely-known woman of the Macksburg neighborhood, died on Sunday of last week, Jan. 15, at the age of 73 years.
Mrs. Busch was the former Charlotte Anna Berry, and was born in Brown county, Ohio, on Jan. 11, 1866. She was married to Andrew Busch on July 21, 1885. They came to Iowa in 1893. They were the parents of eight sons and five daughters. Four of them preceded their mother in death, Quinton and Charlotte in infancy, Ernest A. Busch in 1930, and Mrs. Esther Schutz in 1936.
Mrs. Busch united with the German Evangelical Lutheran church of Arnheim, O., at the age of 13 years. After coming to Iowa in 1893, she united with the Congregational church at Wells, and later transferred to Wesley Chapel M. E. church southwest of Winterset, of which she was a member at the time of her death.
She is survived by her husband; six sons and three daughters, Wilbur Busch of Winterset, Elmer Busch of Cut Knife, Sask., Canada, Louis Busch of Yoder, Colo., Mrs. Mary Kivett of Peru, Mrs. Gladys Augustine of Portales, N. Mex., Mrs. Grace Kivett of Orient, and Stanley Busch of Winterset; 30 grandchildren; and a brother, M. S. Berry of Russellville, O.
Funeral services were conducted last Wednesday at Wesley chapel by her pastor, the Rev. Ora L. Reep. Burial was made in the Moon cemetery.
