Clara May Sellers was born May 1, 1864 at Winterset, Iowa and departed this life at her late home near Mt. Vernon, S.D., May 16, 1913, aged 49 years and 16 days.
She was united in marriage to S. H. Sellers, Nov. 20, 1895. To this union were born six children, two sons and four daughters, of whom five survive. Jessie May died when four years of age. A husband, three sisters and one brother also survive the deceased, Marion Bruce of Winterset Iowa and Mrs. T. W. Stark of Mt. Vernon, were with her during her last illness and death.
She professed faith in Christ and united with the Baptist church at Winterset, Iowa in 1894, and about two years ago she with her husband united with the M. E. church at Mt. Vernon. Mrs. Sellers was a good example of fortitude and patience and she died as she lived, thoughtful to the last for others amid all her suffering. She went willingly, gladly to the Master whom she served and will await the coming of her loved ones after awhile.
The funeral was held at the M. E. church in Mt. Vernon, May 18th at 3 p.m.
