ROBERT W. WHITE

Robert W. White was born in Minard County, Illinois, December 10, 1849, and died at Earlham June 7, 1917, being sixty-seven years, five months and twenty-seven days in age.

January 20, 1874, he was married to Helen Melvina Watklus in Minard County, and to this union were born seven children as follows: Nora May, John J, a babe that died in infancy, Eveline; Mima, Margaret Bertha and Robert Alvin Harold. Of these six are living today.

In the spring of 1878 Mr. White with his family moved to De Soto, Iowa, finally made his permanent home in Earlham. From the time of his moving to Iowa he has been a resident of Madison County.

In his early manhood soon after moving to Iowa, he united with the United Brethern Church about ten miles east of Earlham of which he continued a loyal member to the day of his death.

The following are the immediate relatives who survive to mourn his departure; His wife, Mrs. Helen Melvina White; his children, Mrs. William Davis, Mr. John White, Mrs. Earnest Maulsby, Mrs. Leslie Gingery, Mrs. John Robeson, Mr. Robert White of Detroit, two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Smith of Peoria, Ill., Mrs. Minnie Lee of Havanah, Ill., and in addition eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
