Mrs. Frederica D. Schnellbacher

Mrs. Frederica D. Schnellbacher was born in Germany, Dec. 15, 1827 and died at her home near Winterset, on Jan. 17, 1912, aged 84 years, 1 month and 2 days.

She came to America with her parents in 1842, settling in the state of Ohio. At the age of 13, she was converted and joined the Evangelical church. In 1845 she was married to Mr. John Schnellbacher. To them were born four sons and six daughters. About 50 or 60 years ago, they moved to Iowa and settled on their present home located at Oak Grove, Madison county.

Her husband, two daughters and one son preceeded her to the better world. She leaves four daughters and three sons to mourn her death. Sister Schnellbacher's death is a great loss to the family, to the home, to the community and to the church. But our loss is her gain for she died in the faith and now is at home with the Lord. May the Lord comfort and bless the bereaved ones. The funeral was conducted by her pastor, Rev. John A. Campbell.
