GOLDIE ROSELMA CLYDE

Goldie Roselma Clyde, daughter of Saul and Grace Stegall, was born March 9, 1914 in Earlham, Iowa. She passed away March 29, 1969 at the hospital in Dexter, Iowa at the age of 55 years, 20 days.

She lived throughout her life in Earlham, except for a period of eight years in Fort Dodge. In her later years she was an employee at Look Magazine in Des Moines.

Her husband Emmett Clyde preceded her in death in 1957, as did her father Saul and one brother, James.

She is survived by her one daughter, Margaret Elliott, and husband Ray of Earlham; by her mother; Grace Stegall of Earlham; by three brothers, Glen Stegall and Harry Stegall, both of Earlham, and by Lloyd Stegall of LeGrand, Iowa; by three grandchildren, Michelle, Bobby and David Elliott of Earlham; and by a number of nieces, nephews and friends.

Services Held For Goldie R. Clyde

Funeral services for Goldie R. Clyde were conducted in the Earlham United Methodist church on Tuesday, April 1. Mrs. Clyde passed away on Saturday after being stricken with a heart attack the evening before.

Rev. Ward Young, pastor of the church, was in charge of the service. Sharon Hauschildt sang a solo, accompanied at the organ by Dolores Summy. Casket bearers were Wayne Swallow, Von Fletcher, Marion DeVault, Stanley Nelson, Jack Bomar and Wilbur Moore. The church floral committee cared for the flowers.

Interment was in Penn Center cemetery. Evans Service made the arrangements.
