Death of Z. T. HUSTON

Z. T. Huston, better known as "Taylor" Huston, died at his home in Valley Junction Tuesday morning at the age of 89.

Mr. Huston was for some years a resident of Lincoln township residing on the farm now occupied by O. N. Hollen. He moved to a farm in Polk county and later to Valley Junction where Mrs. Huston and one son, Taylor Jr. reside.

Other members of his family are a daughter, Mrs. G. H. Dabney of this county and Earl Huston of Burley, Idaho, both children of a former marriage. A sister, Mrs. A. W. Crawford resides in Winterset.

After a brief service at the home, funeral services will be held at the Winterset Methodist Church, Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.

Was Resident of Valley Junction.

Zachary Taylor Huston, 89, of 617 Fifth st., Valley Junction, died Tuesday morning at his home.

Mr. Huston was a civil war veteran. A short service will be at the home Thursday at 10:30 a. m., followed by services at 2 p. m. at the Winterset Methodist church. Burial will be at Winterset, Ia.

FORMER RESIDENT DIES EARLY TUESDAY

Taylor Huston, 89, for many years a Madison county resident, died early Tuesday morning at his home in Valley Junction. He was a Civil war veteran and a member of the G.A.R.

Mrs. Gaylord Dabney is a daughter and Mrs. A. W. Crawford, a sister.

Short services will be held at the home today followed by services at the Methodist church here at two o’clock this afternoon. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.

Mr. Huston came to Madison county in the spring of 1884, moving near Valley Junction in 1903. He was born in Polk county near Waukee February 1, 1846, and was married December 1, 1868 to Phebe Ann Ellis who died June 15, 1897. He was again married December 15, 1899 to Oriola Wilson who survives him.

His children are Mrs. Dabney Taylor who lives at home and Earl of Idaho. His sons, Robert and Walter are deceased
