Death Occurs at Age of 66 Years After Extended Illness
Mrs. Stella Terry of Winterset died at the Peterson Nursing home here Thursday, June 9 after an extended illness. She was 66 years of age.
Mrs. Terry was the former Stella Jane Jones, and was born June 23, 1882, on a farm near Winterset. She was married to Lewis E. Terry, May 22, 1901. His death occurred in 1923.
In early life she united with the Early Chapel Church of Christ. At the time of her death she was a member of the Winterset Church of Christ.
She is survived by a son, William of Springbrook, Wisc.; two daughters, Mrs. Isabel Davis of Lorimor and Mrs. Velma Wheeler of Winterset; nine grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Gean Satterlee of Winterset and Mrs. W. C. Jones of Bevington, Kan.
Funeral services were held Saturday from the Winterset Church of Christ in charge of the pastor, the Rev. I. E. Linkletter. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
