MRS. EFFIE MARTIN DIED LAST THURSDAY

Death Comes to Long-Time Resident at Age of 81 Years

Mrs. Effie Martin, long time resident of this community, died at her home in Winterset early last Thursday morning, Oct. 6, after several years of failing health.

Mrs. Martin was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob McNeley. She was born in Madison county March 23, 1868, and was 81 years of age at the time of her death.

She was the mother of three children, one of whom, Mrs. Avis Hild, preceded her in death. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. May Cannine and a son, Martin, both of California; nine grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren, as well as a brother, Roy McNeley of St. Charles.

Funeral services were held here Saturday from the Anderson home for funerals, in charge of the Rev. I. E. Linkletter of the Winterset Church of Christ. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
