P. T. KNOWLES BURIED IN WINTERSET CEMETERY

P. T. Knowles of Des Moines, whose early life was spent in Madison county, died at a Des Moines hospital Monday of last week after an illness of three weeks. He was 72 years of age.

Mr. Knowles was born and reared in the Patterson neighborhood of Madison county. He was a retired railroad man, and also lived in Winterset for several years.

He is survived by his wife, the former Jessie Doan. He also leaves three daughters, Mrs. Walter Martens of Rockwell City, Mrs. Joe Brummel of Leighton and Mrs. Merle Templeton of Des Moines. He was a brother-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Clark of Winterset.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday from the Hamilton funeral home at Des Moines, and burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
