JOHN KIRVIN DIES ON WEST COAST

Former Local Resident in Failing Health for Some Time

John Kirvin, twin brother of Tom Kirvin of Winterset, died at the Marine hospital in Seattle, Washington, Monday, July 4th at the age of 52 years. Mr. Kirvin, well known Winterset and Madison county resident, had left here for the west coast about 12 years ago. He served in World War II, and had been ill for several months.

The body is being returned to Winterset, and funeral services will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic church, the latter part of the week, with burial in the Winterset cemetery.

Mr. Kirvin was the son of Tom and Frances Kirvin. He was born in Illinois, but came to this county, with his parents, when he was a small boy, and the family located on a farm, west of Winterset, in Douglas township.

He is survived by two brothers and two sisters: his twin brother, Tom of Winterset, Will Kirvin of Maine, and Mrs. Porter Langford and Mrs. Al Miller, both of Minneapolis.
