Earlham, IowaMrs. Nellie C. Smith, daughter of William and Mary Archer, was born March 30, 1864 at Monroe, Michigan and departed this life May 10, 1949. They left Michigan when she was a small girl and went to central Nebraska in pioneering days. She was married to H. F. Smith in 1882 and there was born to this union three daughters and one son.

When only a young girl she was converted to Christ, joined the church and was an active worker in it as long as her health would permit. Even though she could not attend church in recent yers, she looked forward with joy to church services that she received over the radio.
