PERU RESIDENT TAKES OWN LIFE

Clyde W. Rhone Shoots Self in Cemetery There Thursday

Clyde W. Rhone, aged 57, of Peru, was found in the cemetery there Friday evening, dead of a self-inflicted gunshot.

Mr. Rhone was a long-time resident there, and was sexton of the Peru cemetery. He was last seen alive Thursday about noon. when he failed to return home Thursday night or all day Friday relatives started a search for him. He was found by his brothers, James and George Rhone.

Relatives said Mr. Rhone had been despondent recently, and was thought to be brooding over the loss of his wife, who died several years ago.

He is survived by a son, Glen Rhone of Peru; two daughters, Wilma of Texas and Lora of California; several grandchildren; his father, Frank Rhone of Lorimor; three brothers, George, James and Ivan Rhone, and two sisters, Mrs. Ira Farr and Mrs. Ethel Weaver all of Lorimor.

Mr. Rhone was born in Holt county, Nebr., March 9, 1892, the son of F. M. and Lydia Rhone. He was married June 23, 1915, to Grace J. Toland.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the Peru Methodist church, in charge of the Rev. Russell Croker. Burial was made in the Peru cemetery.
