Funeral services for Mrs. Willard Criss were held Saturday, May 29, from the St. Charles Methodist church.
Mrs. Criss died May 27 at the Strable Nursing home in St. Charles. She was 59 years of age.
The daughter of Robert and Minnie Algoe, she was born March 9, 1895 at Custer county, Nebraska. She married Willard Criss on Jan. 5, 1921.
She came to Iowa with her parents when a small child, and spent most of her life in this county.
Surviving are her husband, one brother, Clarence Algoe of Peru; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Blosser of Patterson. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Dave and John Algoe; and an infant daughter, Mary Mae.
Officiating at the funeral last Saturday was the Rev. Eldon Haworth, pastor of the St. Charles Methodist church. Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
