ROY GILLOGLY DIES SUDDENLY

Heart Attack is Fatal to Long-Time Resident of Crawford township

LeRoy Gillogly, well-known Crawford township citizen, died suddenly Sunday morning, April 10, in his home at Patterson. Death resulted from a heart attack. He was 67 years of age.

Mr. Gillogly was the son of James and Sarah Jane Bell Gillogly, and was born at Patterson Oct. 25, 1881. He was educated at Capitol City Commercial college in Des Moines, Simpson college at Indianola, Iowa, State Teachers' college at Cedar Falls and Northwestern university at Evanston, Ill.

He was ordained as a minister of the Methodist church, and served an appointment at Woodward. He also taught school for several years. In later years, his interest was centered in his Crawford township farm.

Surviving are two brothers, W. A. Gillogly of Central America and Clyde Gillogly of Patterson, and three sisters, Mrs. Daisy Henderson of Indianola, Mrs. Charles Herren of Macksburg and Miss Gertrude Gillogly of Patterson.

Funeral services were held this Tuesday from the Patterson Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. Oren Hall. Burial was made at the Montpelier cemetery.
