Had Spent Entire Life on Farm in Douglas Township
Ed McDonald, a life-long resident of Douglas township, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, after a week's illness. He was 66 years of age.
Mr. McDonald was born in Douglas township May 23, 1882, the son of Joseph and Teresa McAllister McDonald. His entire life was spent on the farm where he was born.
He is survived by five brothers and sisters, Frank, Ella and Lily McDonald at home, Mrs. Elmer Helm of Winterset, and C. B. McDonald of DeSoto.
Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. from the West Star church of which he was a long-time member. They will be conducted by the Rev. Howard Washburn. Burial will be made in the McDonald cemetery.
