CASPER COX DIED MONDAY, AGED 59

Life-Long Resident Dies at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines

Casper Cox, well known Madison county farmer living northwest of Winterset, died Monday, April 4, at the Lutheran hospital in Des Moines. He was 59 years of age.

Mr. Cox was a life-long resident of this community. He was born here April 30, 1889, the son of George and Rebecca Mills Cox. He was married Jan. 31, 1915, to Hannah Palmer. They were the parents of four children, one of whom, Alverda, died in 1942.

Surviving are his wife; three children, Mrs. Mabel Chew, Aldron Lee Cox and Mrs. Burla Beaman, all of Winterset; seven grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Elsie Killion, of Richmond, Ind.; and a brother, Sylvanis Cox of Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Richards Funeral home here, in charge of the Rev. W. P. Gordon, pastor of the Winterset United Presbyterian church. Burial will be made in the McDonald cemetery.
