MRS. ADDIE THOMPSON DIED HERE TUESDAY

Native of Hanley Dies in Winterset Nursing Home

Mrs. Addie Thompson, a long-time resident of Madison county, died at a Winterset nursing home Tuesday, Sept. 13. She was 71 years of age.

Mrs. Thompson was the former Addie S. Mathorn, daughter of Giles and Mary Mathorn, and was born at Hanley, Dec. 12, 1877. She was married June 7, 1897, to James Thompson who preceded her in death. For the last 12 years she had lived with her sister, Mrs. Frances Porter of Peru.

She is survived by two children, Edward of Dixon, Ill., and Manda of Brookfield, Mo. She also leaves two grandchildren, in addition to her sister, Mrs. Porter of Peru.

Funeral services were held this Wednesday from the Richards Funeral home here, in charge of the Rev. J. D. Stevens. Burial was made at Brookfield, Mo.
