RALPH HENDRICKS DIED HERE MONDAY

Heart Attack is Fatal to 49-Year-Old Winterset Resident

Ralph Hendricks of Winterset died at his home here Monday, following a heart attack. He was 49 years of age.

Mr. Hendricks was born north of Winterset, and spent all his life in this community, with the exception of seven years in Des Moines. His early life was spent on the farm. Following the death of his father a number of years ago, he and his mother moved into Winterset.

He was married Jan. 3, 1937, to Grace Hekman of Winterset. In recent years they operated the Victory cafe here. He also was employed in county road construction work. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge and had been active in founding of the Lakeview Country Club here.

Mr. Hendricks is survived by his wife; four brothers, Everett, Oliver and Milo Hendricks, all of Winterset and Lee Hendricks of Ascanaba, Mich.; and three sisters, Mrs. Mamie Brittain of Winterset, Mrs. Minnie Tate of Washougal, Wash., and Mrs. Alta Stone of Promise City.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2:30 p.m. from the Richards Funeral home, in charge of the Rev. I. E. Linkletter, pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ. Burial will be made in the McDonald cemetery.
