CALLIE ADAMS, 91 DIED LAST FRIDAY

Former School Teacher Was Long-Time Resident of County

Callie Adams, a long-time resident of Winterset and Madison county died last Friday, March 11, at University hospitals in Iowa City. She was 91 years of age.

Miss Adams was born at Prescott, in Adams county, a daughter of Isaac and Clarinda Adams. For many years she taught in the rural schools of Madison county.

Nearest surviving relatives are her nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Inez Adams of Winterset.

Funeral services were held this Tuesday from the Anderson home for funerals, conducted by the Rev. John C. Porath, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Gordon cemetery.
