Funeral services were held Mon., Aug. 20 at 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Lorimor for Grace Angeline Waring. Mrs. Waring died August 17, 1990, at Bethesda Care Center in Winterset. She was 95 years of age.

A daughter of William J. and Marie DeReus Honnold, she was born May 18, 1895 in Marion county, Iowa. She was married to Jess Waring on November 8, 1913 at Newton.

She lived in the Lorimor community over 50 years before entering the nursing home in 1982. She was a cook for the Lorimor schools for many years.

She was a member of Royal Neighbors of America and the Legion Auxiliary of Lorimor, and the United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, two sisters, and two brothers.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mae (Carl) Patterson of Urbandale, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Esther Wheeler of Lorimor and Mrs. Natalie Burd of Winterset; and three brothers, John Honnold and Willis Honnold, both of Des Moines, and Ivan Honnold of Horse Shoe Bend, Arkansas.

Officiating at the funeral service were Pastor Gary Witt and Rev. Merrill Siler. Burial was in the Lorimor Cemetery.
