Services for Frank W. Binder, 75, Winterset, who died Sept. 28, 1985 at his residence, were held Monday, Sept. 30 at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Clarence N. Lautt officiating. Burial was at the Blair Chapel Cemetery near Patterson.
Born in Decatur County, Iowa on Nov. 1, 1909, he was the son of Dee and Ada Warner Binder. He was retired and farmed in the St. Charles and Truro area. He had lived in Winterset the past eight years. At one time he was employed with the county secondary roads department.
Mr. Binder was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Masons at Truro and Ivy Lodge no. 483.
He was married to Ruby Luke on Jan. 25, 1953 at the Methodist church in Winterset.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jane Henry of Winterset; a brother, Ralph of Milo; sisters, Clara Windmiller of Boone and Lucille Griffin of Eldon, Mo.; and three grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother.
