MRS. V. M. RITTER DIES HERE MONDAY

Funeral Services Are Set at Methodist church This Thursday

Three years of Failing health ended in the death of Mrs. V. M. Ritter Monday, Feb. 11 at Madison county Memorial hospital in Winterset. She had entered the hospital last Wednesday following a heart attack.

Mrs. Ritter was 71 years of age, and had been a resident of Winterset for 43 years.

She was the former Ada B. White, daughter of Lewis and Lettie White, and was born Nov. 25, 1885 in Union county. She was the second of 12 children, of whom eight now survive.

She was married at Afton on March 10, 1909, to Vernon M. Ritter. They made their home at Afton and Murray, prior to moving to Winterset in 1914.

She was a member of the Winterset Methodist church.

Preceding her in death were a son, Loren V. Ritter, in addition to two brothers and a sister.

She leaves her husband; one son, Kenneth Ritter of Winterset; four grandchildren; and the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. C. A. Hayden of Creston, Herman White of Afton, Ira White of Logan, Mrs. Elvin Coker of Nebraska, Neale White of Creston, Mrs. Albert D. McClure of Afton, and Mrs. Wesley Powers of Creston.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. this Thursday from the Winterset Methodist church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. W. W. Steinmetz, and the Rev. Walter Samp of Adel. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
