Death Occurred Sunday at Home of Her Sister Near Truro
Mrs. Chester Neff, well known resident of the Truro community, died there Sunday, June 26 at the home of her sister, Mrs. Glen Woods. She was 65 years of age.
Mrs. Neff was the former Caddie Bell Lowe, daughter of William and Laura Phillips Lowe, and was born near Truro Aug. 19, 1883. She was married to Chester C. Neff of near Osceola on Feb. 4, 1903. They lived on a farm there for three years, after which they left Iowa to live in various other states.
When her parents became ill, Mr. and Mrs. Neff returned to Iowa and established their home in Des Moines, in order to care for them there. Several years later they moved to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Woods at Truro.
She is survived by her husband; the sister, Mrs. Woods; and two brothers, Jim Lowe of Allerton and Harry Lowe of Valentine, Neb.
Funeral services were held Monday from the Kale Funeral home in charge of the Rev. V. R. Willey, pastor of the Truro Christian church. Burial was made in the Hartman cemetery.

Caddie Bell Neff, daughter of William and Laura Phipps Lowe, was born Aug. 19, 1883 near Truro and died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Glen Woods on June 26, 1949, at the age of 65 years, 10 months and 7 days.
She was united in marriage to Chester C. Neff, of near Osceola on Feb. 4, 1903, where they lived on a farm for three years. Then she accompanied her husband through various states where he was a traveling salesman, before moving to Des Moines where they were permanently located. When her parents became ill they gave up their work to re for them in their home where they remained for several years, later moving to the home of her sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Woods, where they have resided until her death.
She accepted Christ as her savior early in life and untied with the Christian church at Osceola. She had always lived a very quiet unassuming life, being always kind and thoughtful of others. She has been in failing health for several years but bore her suffering with patience.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, one sister Mrs. Glen Woods, two brothers James Lowe of Allerton and Harry Lowe of Valentine, Nebraska, besides other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held at the Kale funeral home with burial in Hartman cemetery in Truro.
