Ulysses Allenbrand

Ulysses Allenbrand was born April 1, 1864 in Porter County, Indiana and died May 14, 1933 at the age of 69 years, 1 month and 14 days. Death occurred after a long illness at his home near Handel, Saskatchewan, Canada. His early life was spent in Indiana with his parents. At the age of 24, he was united in marriage to Miss Ida Trower. They made their home in Nebraska, Indiana and Iowa. For 13 years they lived on a farm near Macksburg. They in 1918 they settled in Canada.

Mr. Allenbrand was greatly devoted to God and to his home and family. During his long illness he patently suffered, entreating others to serve the Lord.

He leaves to mourn his departure his faithful companion, one son, Leroy Allenbrand of Handel, Saskatchewan, four daughters, Mrs. G. W. West of Handel, Sask., Mrs. E. I. Slaughter of Lorimor, Mrs. G. F. Hinchliff of Kelfield, Saks., Mrs. J. C. Taylor of Saksatoon, Saska, also four sisters, one brother and twenty grandchildren besides a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted at the home on Tuesday by Rev. H. C. Gardner of Edmonton, Alta. Burial was at Wilkie.
