GEORGE H. NEISWANGER, Lorimor

Services for George H. Neiswanger, 96, long-time Lorimor resident, who died Dec. 9 at Veterans Hospital in Des Moines, were held Monday afternoon at the Watts-Lindsay Funeral Home, Lorimor, with the Rev. Dorothy Petersen officiating. Burial was at Lorimor Cemetery.

Born at Davenport Sept. 4, 1887, he was the son of John and Jesse Larsen Neiswanger. On July 30, 1921, he was married to Minnie May Akins at Creston. Mr. Neiswanger spent most of his life as a blacksmith and machinist. He was a veteran of World War I. He spent the past three years at the Care Center North in Winterset.

Survivors include a daughter, Gertrude Neiswanger of Lorimor, and two stepdaughters, Edna Neans and Leta Hill, both of Lorimor.

Preceding him in death were his wife, parents and two brothers.
