HARRY OVERHULSER DIES IN ILLINOIS

Most of Life Spent in Penn and Jefferson Township of This County

Harry Overhulser, a long-time resident of Madison county, succumbed to a heart ailment at his home near Belvidere, Ill., on Friday, Dec. 9. He was 68 years of age and had been ill since 1942.

Mr. Overhulser was born in Madison county, near DeSoto, on Sept. 13, 1881, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Overhulser. He spent his early life in that community, moving to Penn township, near Dexter, in 1900.

He attended Monmouth college at Monmouth, Ill., and the State University of Iowa at Iowa City. After that, he served as a school teacher for a number of years. He moved to Belvidere in 1940.

He was married Sept. 15, 1925, at Macomb, Ill., to Gertrude McDonald. He was a member of the First Presbyterian church at Dexter, and at Belvidere had affiliated with the South Baptist church.

Surviving are his wife; five sisters, Mrs. Ethel Creswell of Dexter, Pearl and Blanche Overhulser of Des Moines, Nellie Overhulser and Mrs. Faye Schey of Washington, D. C.

Funeral services were held Dec. 11, at Belvidere, and burial was made at Macomb.
