Mrs. Gary Patience of near Earlham died when the car she was driving slammed into the concrete abutment of the bridge over Tom creek on the paved county road a mile and a half south of Earlham. She was 25 years of age.
Mrs. Patience had been a resident of the Earlham community since her marriage to Gary Patience on June 27, 1970.
She was the former Marsha Jetter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Jetter of Osceola, and spent her early life in that community. She was educated at A.I.B. in Des Moines and attended Iowa State University in Ames for two years.
She was a member of Zion Lutehran Church at Dexter.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Jetter of Osceola; three younger brothers, Mike, Mark and Marlin Jetter, all at home; a grandmother, Mrs. Eva Jetter of Oscela; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Fluckey of Afton.
Funeral services were held Saturday from the Zion Lutheran Church in Dexter, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Norman Leucht.

Obituary
Marsha Diane Patience, daughter of Dean Jeter and Marie, nee Fluckey, was born in Union County, on March 11, 1947. She was baptized in the Methodist Church in Afton, Iowa.
She received her elementary education in the Afton and Osceola public school system and graduated from the Osceola High School. After attending the American Institute of Business in Des Moines she was a student at Iowa State University in Ames for two years.
On June 27, 1970 she was married to Mr. Gary Patience of Earlham, Iowa. After living a short time in Ames, Iowa they moved to Earlham. The departed was confirmed and became a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Dexter on March 26, 1972.
Marsha departed this life on Thursday, September 14 at the age of 25 years, 6 months, and 3 days. She is survived by her beloved husband, Gary, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Jeter of Osceola, three brothers, Mike, Mark and Marlin, her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Eva Jeter of Osceola and her maternal grandfather, Mr. Chester Fluckey of Afton, Iowa.
Memorial services were held at Zion Lutheran Church, Dexter, the Rev. Norman M. Luecht officiating. Casketbearers were Gerald Lamers, Ronald Welch, Steve Wilson, Philip Robinson, LeRoy Fuller, and Dick Kenworthy. Interment was in Dexter cemetery under the direction of the Fisher Funeral Home.
