THEODORA MACUMBER DIED HERE MONDAY

Funeral Services Are Set For This Thursday From Richards

Mrs. Theodora Macumber, a life-long resident of Madison county, died this Monday, Dec. 30, at her home in Winterset. She was 75 years of age, and had been in failing health for several years.

Mrs. Macumber was a daughter of Edgar and Louna Wight Holt. She was born in Madison county, Nov. 29, 1882, and spent her life here.

She was married to Gile Macumber in Winterset on Dec. 7, 1904. He preceded her in death in September 1940.

Her church membership was with the old Christian church here.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Travis of Winterset, Mrs. Emely McCaslen of Van Meter, Mrs. Eva Bond of Peru, and Mrs. Thelma Kielholtz of Chicago; two sons, Rex and Ted Macumber of Winterset; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Richards Funeral home, with the Rev. Warren Hile, pastor of the Winterset Christian church, officiating. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
