MRS. FRANK MCCLURE RITES AT ST. CHARLES

Mrs. Franklin McClure, longtime resident of Madison and Warren counties, died Thursday, July 19, at her home near New Virginia, after an extended illness.

Mrs. McClure was the former Roxie Merle Johnston, daughter of Samuel T. and Matisha Johnston. She was born south of St. Charles, Jan. 31, 1892 and was 64 years of age at her death.

She was a long-time member of the St. Charles Methodist church later transferring to the Ohio Baptist church at Broadhorn.

She leaves her husband; three sons, Lawrence McClure of St. Charles, Forest McClure of Fenton and Ivan McClure of Mesa, Ariz.; tow grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Cora Knott of St. Charles, Mrs. Mollie Bumbarger of New Virginia and Mrs. Jennie Sloan of Lowry City, Mo.; two brothers, Raymond and Truman Johnston, both of St. Charles.

Funeral services were held July 21 from the St. Charles Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. Eldon Haworth. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
