Death of Wm. Springmire

William Springmire, Winterset resident, died early Friday morning, February 17th at the age of 55 years. Mr. Springmire who had made his home here with his sister, Mrs. Fannie Parks, for the past eight years, had not been well the past winter, but his condition was not regarded as serious. He was found dead in his bed at the Parks home on West Jefferson street Friday morning.

Mr. Springmire was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Springmire of Tiffin. He lived in Iowa City before coming to Winterset. The body was taken to Tiffin and services were held at the Tiffin Methodist church Sunday, February 19th at 2:30 o'clock and burial was made in the Oak Hill cemetery. The Rev. Mr. Gray was the minister.

Mr. Springmire leaves his sister and six brothers. Two of the brothers, Ed and T. C. Springmire came here Friday evening. Ed Springmire and son Howard returned to Tiffin, Saturday but T. C. Springmire remained here and accompanied the funeral party to Tiffin on Sunday. Mrs. Parks and nephew Harvey Bridenstine and Owen De Mar were in the group and returned to Winterset that evening.
