MONROE TOWNSHIP RESIDENT PASSES

Frank Smith Died Aug. 8 at Carter Nursing Home in Winterset

Frank Smith, a long-time resident of Monroe township, died Monday, Aug. 8, at the Carter Nursing home in Winterset. He was 67 years of age.

Mr. Smith was born in Monroe township July 13, 1882, the son of H. A. and Lydia Smith. He was married to Ruth Denton on Oct. 26, 1903. They were the parents of three sons and one daughter. One of the sons, Everett, preceded him in death.

He leaves his wife; two sons, Clarence Smith of Van Meter and Lee Smith of Knoxville; the daughter, Mrs. Laura Hess, of Malvern; three brothers, Ellis, Lon and Wilber Smith, all of Lorimor; a sister, Mrs. Carrie Farlin of Cour d'Alene, Ida.; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Aug. 10 from the Fellowship church in Monroe township, in charge of the Rev. Mr. Richardson, pastor of the Murray Church of Christ. Burial was made in the Clark cemetery.
