DEATH OF BEN SPRINKLE

Ben W. Sprinkle, for many years a resident of Winterset, died at his home in Canon City, Colorado, on Wednesday, December 7th, according to word received here this week.

Sprinkle was well known in Madison county. He was born in Illinois but came to Winterset as a boy and lived here until 1909, when he moved to Colorado. For years he operated the barber shop under the First National bank building. He was married here to Miss Cora Hervey in 1893.

In Colorado, Sprinkle continued to pactice the barber trade and became prominent in the affairs of his community. At the time of his death he was 65 years old. He had been in failing health for two years and had been confined to his home for two weeks preceding his death.

Sprinkle is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Helen Smith of New York City, four brothers and a sister.

Funeral services were held at Canon City, Friday.
