FERN FOLWELL OF PATTERSON DIES

Life-Long Resident of That Community Was 64 Years of Age

Mrs. Roy Folwell, a life-long resident of Patterson, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, at Madison county Memorial hospital in Winterset. She had been in failing health for some time, but had entered the hospital only the night before her death.

Mrs. Folwell was 64 years of age at her death. She was the former Fern Coen, daughter of William and Martha Coen, and was born June 11, 1893, in Patterson. Her entire life was spent in that community.

As a young woman she was married to Roy Folwell. They were parents of one son, who died in infancy.

She is survived by her husband; two brothers, Charles Coen of Prole and Clarence Coen of Des Moines; and a sister, Mrs. Jim O’Hara of Winterset.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the Patterson Methodist church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Mr. Pine, assisted by the Rev. Leroy Bussinger, pastor of the Winterset Foursquare church. Burial was made in Montpelier cemetery at Patterson
