Funeral Services Set for This Friday Afternoon From Anderson’s
Jettie Davis, a life-long resident of Madison county, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, at her home in Winterset, after a brief illness. She was 75 years of age.
Miss Davis was born in Madison county on Oct. 29, 1882, a daughter of Clark and Ella Loveless. When she was a small child her mother died, and she was reared in the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Davis, taking their name.
Her early life was spent in the Patterson community. About 30 years ago she moved to Winterset.
Nearest surviving relatives are five cousins, Squire Crawford of Indianola, Mrs. Lucinda Lavalleur of Winterset, Mrs. Cleo Douglas of Carlsbad, N. Mex., Mrs. Fred Jones and George Bardrick of Winterset.
Funeral services will be held this Friday at 2 p.m. from Anderson’s home for funerals, conducted by the Rev. W. W. Steinmetz, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial will be made in Montpelier cemetery at Patterson.
