Ada M. Townsend

Ada M. Townsend, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. T. Townsend, was born at Des Moines, Iowa, March 24, 1869, and passed away at Winterset, Iowa, June 23rd, 1933 at the age of 64 years, 2 months and 29 days. At the age of eight years she with her parents moved to Macksburg, Iowa, where she resided until her death.

May 1, 1892, she was united in marriage to John D. Callison at Des Moines, Iowa.

At the age of thirteen years she united with the Christian church at Des Moines, Iowa. In after years she transferred her membership to the Baptist church at Macksburg, Iowa. She remained a devout Christian until she was called to her reward. She was a patient sufferer for a greater part of her life. Her smile and cheerful disposition won a host of friends.

She leaves to mourn their loss, a husband, a daughter, Mrs. Frank Schulz and three grandchildren, all of Macksburg, Iowa, an only sister, Mrs. Jennie L. Canning of Des Moines, Iowa; also a multitude of relatives and friends.

LAST RITES FOR MRS. J. D. CALLISON

Last rites for Mrs. John D. Callison, 64, of Macksburg, who died early Friday morning at the Winterset hospital where she had been taken for treatments, were held Sunday morning at Macksburg conducted by the Rev. E. R. Osborne assisted by the Rev. Wolfe and the Rev. Phillips. Burial was Monday in Glendale cemetery in Des Moines.

Mrs. Callison was Ada M. Townsend, daughter of Ll. T. and Lois Townsend, and was born March 24, 1869 in Des Moines. When eight years old she went to Macksburg where she continuously made her home until her death. Her marriage took place May 1, 1892.

She was a member of the Baptist church.

Her husband, Mrs. Thera Schulz whom Mr. and Mrs. Callison reared in their home, and a sister Mrs. Jennie Canning of Des Moines, survive.
